Zemirah, Ed.S, RScP, speaker/author/coach, has worked as a licensed school psychologist for the past 16 years. She specializes in teaching the impact of neurology, brain science, and executive functioning on child development and learning. She is a licensed spiritual practitioner through the Centers for Spiritual Living and is certified by Heartmath®, and as a Neurosculpting® Facilitator and Parenting Coach.
As author of the blogs at kidsrelaxation.com and Shangri-love.com, her relaxation techniques from kidsrelaxation.com have been published globally, most recently in Mexico’s Mindfulness Para Ninos and New Zealand’s Foundations Magazine. These techniques are used in educational systems throughout the United States. Her work has also been featured in the Huffington Post, the Psychology Foundation of Canada, Hildegard Center for the Arts, and Healthy Mama Magazine. She recently launched the first in the Kids Relaxation Book Series: Deep Breathing for Kids and Guided Imagery for Kids (eBook versions).
Zemirah’s writing on how photography is related to spiritual experience was featured in Carl Studna’s book Click, published by Hay House and Agape Media International in November 2012. Other notable literary works include features in the International Bestselling anthologies, Pebbles in the Pond Wave Three, (2014) and My Big Idea Book, (2016).
Zemirah loves to inspire kids, parents, teachers, therapists, and educators to have fun, finding animation and engagement with their relaxation practice. And, after a challenging time as a single mom, she is passionate about helping other divorced parents find inner joy, financial empowerment, and deep, fulfilling heart-connection within themselves and their children.
She is equally passionate about inspiring women to live their greatest expression in life by looking deeply within their own hearts. She nurtures and gently guides clients to realize their own inherent brilliance and spiritual nature. She was one of the contributors featured in Cynthia James’ book, I Choose Me, a visionary movement and book of empowerment for women, released in June 2016. Her latest products and programs support women in transcending stories of “not-enoughness” to empower themselves to take the steps necessary to manifest joy and tranquil presence in all areas of life.
She lives near Boulder, Colorado, with her daughter, Madelyn, her partner Todd, his son Patrick, and two beautiful furry loves, Loti and Rush.
